We are looking for an ambitious RoR software engineer who wants to make an impact at a mission-driven company and is interested in working across our full tech stack. You are excited to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative team and take on a high level of responsibility across many projects. You will be working on the frontend and backend of our core platform and teacher portal that provides free access to transformative classroom tools that facilitate engaging learning experiences. You’ll have a direct impact on making our learning platform available to millions of students in all 50 states and over 100+ countries.

Position/Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

Start Date: Immediately

Work Hours: Full-Time

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Responsibilities:

  • Independently own the end-to-end design and development of new features on Boddle's teacher and parent learning management systems (teacher/parent portals)
  • Drive technical initiatives that improve quality of the product, efficiency in the way features is delivered, and collaboration between internal teams to identify and develop new features (customer support, marketing, development, etc.)
  • Work on a variety of tech stacks and technologies including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript,HTML5/CSS, Postgres, AWS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is a must
  • Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
  • Familiarity with Rake, Bundler
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 and JQuery
  • Familiarity with testing tools
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience with deployment and web server configurations
