As Vice President of Engineering, you will be an experienced technology leader who is passionate about building cutting-edge technologies in a fast-growing company and wants to make a positive impact on education and kids. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technology team, infrastructure, and development processes with our rapidly expanding and growing organization. As VP of Engineering, you will have experience in leading and developing a multinational engineering/technology team, designing and improving software development processes, and spending 30% of your time hands-on coding.

Position/Title: Vice President of Engineering

Start Date: Immediately

Work Hours: Full-Time

Responsibilities: Your day-to-day responsibilities include the following:

  • Leading a multinational engineering/technology team
  • Leading the development and creation of processes to ensure excellent collaboration between game development, web development, server, and devops teams
  • Defining the company’s architecture, documentation, and coding standards
  • Manage productivity and ensure all software releases and Boddle world-class products are developed, tested and released on time  
  • Lead quality assurance for and development of Boddle’s world class products
  • Servant leadership including supervising, developing feedback, mentoring, and coaching to develop team
  • Development of in-house tools for metrics tracking, A/B testing, testing, as well as user-facing features
  • Researching global technology trends and their applicability to Boddle’s capabilities and adopting best-in-class processes and trends

Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Demonstrated best-in-class experience with Java
  • Demonstrated best-in-class experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Demonstrated best-in-class experience with Agile Development
  • Experience shipping mobile games and/or consumer apps
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing processes at-scale for shipping and delivering Boddle product to high-volume of users
  • Demonstrated experience working in a high-growth startup environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to be personable yet persistent

The following qualifications are not required, but preferred:

  • Experience in Unity3D
  • Demonstrated experience with AKKA
