Placement tests are now available on Boddle! This diagnostic will enable you to know where your students are at in their math journey, helping you and your students start off strong.
The placement test is easy to use. In fact, you don’t have to assign the test.
When students log in, finish the tutorial, and hit the play button, they will automatically be brought to the placement test. The test is designed to look like the regular gameplay, meaning the students will be just as engaged.
However, the placement test includes an “I don’t know this yet” button on each question. As your students work through the placement test, Boddle gathers the data and sends it to your Teacher Portal.
The placement test typically takes about 20-25 minutes to complete. We recommend planning enough time for students to finish the test so you can get the data quickly; however, if that’s not possible, that’s okay!
Students can take the test in segments as well! If students leave the test, it will start from where they left off when they return. So no worries if all the tests don’t get completed in one sitting.
You can find all of the test results on your Teacher Portal. Just go into your classroom and click “Reports.” There you will find a breakdown of which areas your students understand and which ones they need help on.
If, when you log in the portal, it states the placement test is in progress, that means that not all students have completed the test yet. They will continue the test once they log back into Boddle, and then you will be able to see the data.

The reports also show your students’ progress over time, the specific skills that have been mastered, and the ability to print results!
