Challenge: Addressing students’ specific learning gaps and widely varying skill levels attributed to the unprecedented learning experience caused by the pandemic.

The pandemic disrupted the learning experience for students abruptly and unceremoniously, and caused gaps in learning hereto unseen before. Through virtual and/or hybrid learning, it became incredibly challenging for teachers to assess and address each student’s unique needs, all while striving to achieve grade-level learning success. As the pandemic raged on and students entered new grade levels, the range in their skill acquisition became larger and larger, and the need for a tool to quickly and effectively address learning gaps became imperative.

Solution: Zandra utilizes Boddle’s engaging gameplay to differentiate practice for her students that addresses their specific learning need. Further, detailed data reports provide Zandra with the information needed to determine if learning gaps have been filled.

Boddle’s online learning platform provides a fun and engaging way for students to complete standard-based assignments aligned to their specific learning needs. Differentiation is made easy with a few clicks, and Zandra can readily track her students’ progress through reports such as the Progress Report and Learning Gaps Report. Her students can practice the exact skills they need to while moving along their grade-level trajectory.

Result: Zandra is confident that her students are not only having fun while they learn, but also effectively working towards accomplishing grade-level standards and closing their own learning gaps.

Though the pandemic changed the way teachers taught and the methods through which students learned, Boddle proved to be a highly effective tool to help rectify the course of learning for Zandra’s students. Students learn the best when they are engaged, and Boddle provides a fun way for students to take charge of their learning and empowers them to accomplish skills on their unique learning path.

“Boddle is amazing for addressing [the] challenge [of closing learning gaps]. I can set my students up for success on Boddle to help fill in those gaps.
